A chapter of my life completed

Being in grade 12 has it's own thing. I mean yeah you are graduating from school leaving all those years behind, where you have been bullied or wore that uniform which might be the last thing you ever want to wear but still there is a feeling of finality like fianlly we have reached the end of the stairs and reached some other floor. From kindergarten till 12th, the routine was same. After every passing year there wasn't any change it's just putting a single full stop and completing a sentence and now we have completed this whole chapter. 15 crazy years in school! I mean it's a mammoth time that we have spend in that place. It's not just the knowledge that we had learn there but the experiences, the heart breaks, the friendships that we are taking with us.
I am quite satisfied with my own journey through the school. I had never been the backbencher or the frontbencher instead I was the one who changes the seat daily for others annoyance. I had never behave like a topper but was the one. I had have many punishments and there wasn't any parents teacher's meets without my complains. And still I did quite well. I might not be much lovable but I have quite a decent number of friends that can qualify as gang. I am happy my years are never wasted just on studies or pranks beacause I had both and I am completing my first stage of life with flying colours.
If I just look back, I have bad experiences more than the good ones but then somewhere inside I'll miss everyone and everything.
I just hope after few years when I meet someone from school even at most unexpected places then too we recognise each other. Fingers crossed! :)

Of letters and inks

There is some beauty in sitting on the floor, crossing the legs and opening the old letters and greeting cards. And revisiting the golden old days of letters and inks. The days when the message as well as the messenger were equally important.  I don't know how the people at that time were pouring their whole heart in few words and sealing them with the fragile stamps. Now a days, even the long chain of text with 'end-to-end encryption' can't hold a piece of emotion. Anyway, before you think I am some oldie who loves to lecture on the 'good old days', let me tell you I am not. Infact these are my mother's beloved belongings, one which she still proudly flaunts to my generation. Let me tell you something, in 2021 during lockdown, I wrote three letters and posted them to my cousins. Well they already were expecting the above mentioned letters but still I want to feel the experience of writing letters, folding them nicely, putting them in envelope, writing the a...
